Custom Curtains & Sheers, made in Tauranga

────   DRAPERY

Where Quality Curtains began

Drapery is where Quality Curtains began, and it's still at the heart of everything we do. Every Curtain, Sheer, and Roman Blind is custom designed for your home and manufactured right here in our own Tauranga workroom, not outsourced and not mass-produced.

Unlike other retailers who outsource manufacturing overseas, we cut, sew, and finish every Curtain and Roman Blind on-site in Tauranga. That means tighter quality control, faster turnaround on alterations, and a finished product made specifically for your windows.

Sheers

Light Filtering UV Protection Layer With Drapery

Sheers bring softness and light into a room without sacrificing privacy. Available in an extensive range of weaves, weights, and textures, from fine, barely-there voiles to heavier, more textured weaves, our Sheers are custom made to your exact window dimensions.

Sheers work beautifully on their own in living areas and bedrooms where daytime light filtering matters most, and they're equally effective layered behind full Drapery on a double track for a complete day-to-night solution.

Features & Benefits
Fabric weight From fine voile for maximum light and a barely-there look, to heavier textured weaves that add visual substance while still filtering light.
Track style Recessed track creates a contemporary minimalist look, coloured rods give a more traditional finish.
Standalone or layered Sheers work on their own or paired with Drapery on a double track. Sheers open during the day, Drapery drawn for privacy and warmth at night.
Lining options Most Sheers are unlined to preserve their translucency, though a bonded backing can be added for extra body and structure if preferred.

Drapery

Full Blockout Available Thermal Lining Noise Reduction

Full-length Drapery adds warmth, texture, and complete light control to any room. We work with leading fabric houses, including James Dunlop, to bring you an extensive range of colours, patterns, and fabric weights, all custom manufactured to fit your windows precisely.

Heavier Drapery fabrics also offer real practical benefits beyond style, including better insulation against heat loss in winter, reduced noise transfer, and full blockout for bedrooms where light control matters most.

Features & Benefits
Fabric weight From lighter, drapeable fabrics that move beautifully in a breeze to heavy, structured weights that insulate and block sound, we'll help you match the right weight to each room.
Lining options Unlined for a softer, lighter look; Woven lining for added body and drape; thermal lining to reduce heat loss by up to 60%; or full blockout for bedrooms and media rooms.
Header styles Invert Pleat offers a contemporary flowing look, Dutch Pleat gives a classic tailored finish, Mono Pleat requires less fabric and stacks up tight and ideal where space is limited.
Fabric suppliers We work with leading New Zealand and International fabric houses, bringing a wide selection of quality fabrics.

Roman Blinds

Space Saving Tailored Finish Light Filtering Or Blockout

Roman Blinds offer a clean, tailored alternative to traditional Curtains, ideal for a more streamlined look. Custom made in our workroom using your choice of fabric, they fold neatly when raised and sit flush against the window when closed.

Roman Blinds suit homes where space is tight, such as above a kitchen sink or in a smaller bedroom, but they're equally at home in larger, contemporary spaces where a tailored window treatment is preferred.

Features & Benefits
Fabric choice Roman Blinds are made using the same fabric range as our Curtains and Sheers, paired with woven or thermal block out lining so you can match them precisely to the rest of your room.
Fold style Pocket tape gives a clean, contemporary panel when lowered. Pintucks to the front gives a structured look and works well with patterned fabrics.
Mounting Typically Face-Fixed above the window, reducing light gaps and can make a smaller window appear larger.
Control options Standard chain operation or motorised for hard-to-reach windows. Large Roman Blinds are ideal candidates for a motorised lift system.

────   FEATURES & BENEFITS

Everything that goes into your Drapery

From heading styles to thermal performance, here's what to consider when choosing your Curtains, Sheers, or Roman Blinds.

CURTAIN HEADER STYLES

The way your Curtain is sewn at the top directly affects how it hangs and how much space it takes up when open, from a clean Wave fold to a classic Pinch Pleat.

THERMAL LINING

Glass is a poor insulator, even on well-sealed windows. A thermal lining can reduce heat loss by up to 60% when properly fitted, keeping your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

BLOCKOUT LININGS

For bedrooms or media rooms where full darkness matters, a blockout lining eliminates light completely while adding extra body and structure to your Curtains.

MOTORISED CURTAINS

Curtains can be motorised for quiet, effortless control, particularly useful for hard-to-reach windows, high ceilings, or large openings. Powered by Somfy.

────   FAQS

Drapery FAQs

How long does it take to get custom curtains made?

Once your quote is accepted, Curtains and Roman Blinds are manufactured in our own Tauranga workroom. Turnaround depends on fabric availability and the size of your order, but we'll give you a realistic timeframe at the quote stage.

Can I bring my own fabric, or do I choose from your range?

Most clients choose from our extensive range of fabrics, including ranges from leading suppliers like James Dunlop, which gives you access to options not available elsewhere. If you have something specific in mind, talk to us during your consultation.

What's the difference between Sheers and Drapery?

Sheers are lightweight and translucent, filtering light while giving privacy without blocking your view. Drapery is heavier and fully blocks light, adding warmth and texture. Many homes use both together, Sheers during the day and Drapery drawn in the evening.

Do you make Roman Blinds in any fabric?

Yes. Roman Blinds are custom made using the same fabric range as our Curtains and Sheers, so you can match your blinds to the rest of your room.

Can you match Curtains across multiple rooms in my house?

Definitely. We often work with clients room by room or on a whole-home basis, and we can help you create a cohesive look using complementary fabrics, colours, and styles throughout.
