Somfy's motors are engineered to run almost silently, so your Curtains can open automatically each morning without disturbing anyone in the house. Tracks can be wall mounted or ceiling mounted including recessed for a modern sleek look.
Automated Blinds
Our Blinds can be motorised using Somfy or Acmeda systems, depending on the product. Acmeda's Automate Pulse Hub connects your motorised Blinds to a free smartphone app, letting you group Blinds by room or scene, set custom schedules, and control everything with a tap or your voice through Alexa or Siri integration.
Motorisation is a proven way to actually use your window coverings to manage solar heat gain and reduce heat loss, and with scheduling features, you can set your Blinds to open and close automatically at set times without lifting a finger.
For larger homes or commercial spaces, a single hub can manage up to 30 motorised window coverings at once.
Automated Outdoor Screens & Awnings
Control your ZipTrak Screens and Folding Arm Awnings via the Smoove wireless wall remote, a handheld remote, or the Somfy Ta Homa app. Operate products individually or in unison, ideal for hard-to-reach areas or anyone who finds manual operation difficult.
Add a motion, rain, or wind sensor to automatically retract your Outdoor products during extreme weather, protecting your investment without you needing to be home. This is particularly valuable for Folding Arm Awnings and ZipTrak Screens left extended while you're out. A sudden gust or downpour can cause real damage to an unprotected system, but a wind or rain sensor reacts in seconds. Integration into a broader home automation system is also increasingly popular, letting you manage all your Outdoor products from a single app alongside your Curtains and Blinds.

Can motorised Curtains and Blinds be added to an existing home?
Yes. Automation can be retrofitted to most existing Curtains, Blinds, and Outdoor products. You don't need to be building new to take advantage of it.
What's the difference between Somfy and Acmeda?
Both are trusted automation brands we work with. Somfy powers automation across our Curtain, Blind, and Outdoor ranges, while Acmeda is used for select Blind systems via the Automate Pulse Hub and app. We'll recommend the right system based on the product you're automating.
Can I control multiple Curtains and Blinds from one app?
Yes. Both Somfy and Acmeda systems let you control individual products or group them by room or scene. For example, you can lower every Blind in the lounge with a single tap or set all your Curtains to open automatically each morning. Acmeda's hub alone can manage up to 30 motorised window coverings at once, which is plenty for most homes.
Do automated Outdoor Screens and Awnings have weather sensors?
Yes. Motion, rain, and wind sensors can be added to automatically retract your Outdoor Screens or Awnings during bad weather, protecting them from damage even when you're not home.
Does motorisation require an electrician or hardwiring?
No. Most of our motorised Blinds and Outdoor products run on rechargeable battery-powered motors, with no wiring, no electrician, and minimal installation disruption.
Is automation difficult to maintain?
Not at all. The systems are designed to run reliably with very little upkeep. Battery-powered motors will notify you through the app when they need recharging, similar to a phone battery warning, and Acmeda's solar panel option means most blinds rarely need manual charging at all. If anything does need attention, it's covered under warranty and our own aftercare support.
